Artefill®: injectable suspension of polymethylmethacrylate (permanent microsphere polymer) and collagen used to improve appearance of facial hollows and medium to deep wrinkles, especially the nasolabial folds. First FDA-approved permanent dermal filler. Cost: $1500 per 1 cc. Amount necessary to achieve ideal results will vary depending on severity of problem.

Botox®: injectable agent used to paralyze or relax facial muscles in order to improve dynamic and sometimes static wrinkles.  Most commonly used for frown lines between eyebrows, crow’s feet lines extending lateral to eyes, and forehead lines.  Also used in lower eyelids, lips, and marionette lines.  Lasts 2 – 6 months, sometimes longer.  Cost:  $15 per unit.  Number of units required varies depending on area treated and strength of individual patient’s muscles.

Juvederm®: injectable hyaluronic gel filler (more concentrated and improved length of duration compared to Restylane) used to improve appearance of fine to deep wrinkles, furrows, and soft tissue depressions. Gold standard for augmentation of lips. Has essentially replaced collagen and requires no skin test prior to use. Lasts 6 – 9 months, sometimes longer. May last shorter duration in lips. Cost: $700 per 1 cc syringe. Amount necessary to achieve ideal results will vary depending on severity of problem.

 Restylane®: injectable hyaluronic gel filler used to improve appearance of fine to deep wrinkles, furrows, and soft tissue depressions.  Gold standard for augmentation of lips.  Has essentially replaced collagen and requires no skin test prior to use.  Lasts 6 – 9 months, sometimes longer.  May last shorter duration in lips.  Cost:  $500 per 1 cc syringe.  Amount necessary to achieve ideal results will vary depending on severity of problem. 

Radiesse®: injectable calcium hydroxylapatite filler used to improve appearance of medium to deep wrinkles, furrows, and soft tissue depressions.  Excellent for correction of hollows beneath eyes.  Can be used as an injectable implant for augmentation of nose, chin, and cheeks.  Lasts 9 months to 1 ½ years, sometimes longer.  Cost:  $750 per 1.3 cc syringe.  Amount necessary to achieve ideal results will vary depending on severity of problem.  

Sculptra®: injectable suspension of poly-L-lactic acid used to stimulate collagen production for improvement of facial hollows, medium to deep wrinkles, skin laxity and thinning, and to improve tone of skin.  “Injectable face-lift.”  Micronized form of an absorbable suture material (Dexon) which has a long safety history.  Lasts 2 to 5 years.  Cost:  $200 per cc.  Usually need 1 vial (5 cc) per injection session.  Ideal correction may be achieved with 2 – 5 injection sessions at 4 – 6 week intervals. 

Facial Cosmetic Surgery:  Dr. Roesler is a board certified expert in eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), facelift/necklift, neck liposuction, cosmetic nasal surgery (rhinoplasty), CO2 laser skin surgery, chemical peels, mole removal, and scar revision.  Cosmetic surgery consultations are available by appointment. 

Functional Nasal Problems:  Dr. Roesler accepts PPO insurance and also welcomes patients for evaluation and treatment of nasal airway obstruction and sinus disorders.
